We are a part of Intel's GPU Driver Software Team. We focus on the design, development and validation of GPU products and features. In this spirit of shift left, we focus our time and energy making an impact in the pre-silicon phase of a GPU product, from product definition to product tape-out.


You will:

  • Develop C++ software applications, workloads and tools to bring-up, enable and validate GPU features in the pre-silicon phase of the GPU product.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Intel GPU features and real world applications and benchmarks.
  • Problem solve across domains; driver, operating system, hardware.
  • Work in an environment that emphasizes modern software engineering practices; Agile, continuous integration and automation.
  • Work with a variety of pre-silicon technologies and tools; emulators, simulators, models.
  • Collaborate with a variety of partner teams and organizations across Intel; User mode driver, Simulator, Hardware, Automation.

Behavioral traits we're looking for:

  • Excellent communication skills working with multiple stakeholders including external customers/OEMs for product enabling.
  • Experience with debug tools and technologies, Windbg, E2E Validation, ETL debug, PnP analyzers.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

You must have a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience OR a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience. Your Degree should be Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field. Your experience and proficiency should be related to software development.

Specifically, you must have 4+ years of experience in:

  • C/C++, Python
  • One or more Windows graphics API's; DirectX 11/12, Vulkan, OpenGL, etc.
  • Learning/understanding hardware specifications and software source code, and applying that to engineering activities.
  • Experience developing and debugging software and hardware.
  • Hands-on experience working in a modern software development practices environment. E.g. Continuous integration, Git/GitHub, Code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong debug and problem-solving skills on HW/SW driver interactions.
  • Experience of GPU Technology, Rendering, Compute, Scheduling, GPU Power Management or Graphics Memory Management.
  • Experience working in low level software, Firmware Development, Windows Device Driver Architecture, Development or Validation.
  • Hands-on experience working w/ pre-silicon tools. e.g. Synopsys or Cadence emulators, Simics.
  • Experience working with Pre-silicon environments.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
