WHO WE
ARE
The Open Source Graphics Center is
responsible for developing Linux drivers and technology for Intel's
Graphics/Compute products. We commit quality code to drive open
source software reliability, accessibility, security, power

WHAT YOU WILL
DO
You will use your technical leadership skills
to plan and execute a wider plan for testing and automation of 3D
workloads for Intel's Linux GPU SW stack, collaborating with
multiple teams and groups on design, development, implementation
and execution. Contribute toward the release of industry-leading
features for Intel's integrated and discrete graphics/compute
products. You will have the opportunity to work directly with open
source communities and across business units within
Intel.
We are looking for candidates who are willing to work in a diverse team environment and with others in cross-site organizations.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or 4+ years equivalent experience.
Must also have 4+ years experience in:
- Programming skills in Python and/or C/C++
- Working knowledge in the software engineering development lifecycle process
- Debugging and system integration skills
- Minimum of 3+ years' industry experience working in large scale software product development teams and projects
Preferred
Qualifications
A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Computer Science combined with any of the following:
- Familiarity with Linux gaming stack (including Wine, Proton, etc.)
- Familiarity with web development for creation of simple reporting tools
- Working experience developing system software for Linux OS
- Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Understanding of Linux Operating system architecture and device driver model
- Familiarity with Linux DRM subsystem and graphics/compute SW stack
- Familiarity with 3D driver development, Vulkan/OpenGL APIs, and contributing to open source Mesa 3D project
- Familiarity with AI/Machine Learning tools and workflow
- Experience architecting overall end-to-end Linux solutions

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
