In the Graphics Performance and Automation team, we are passionate about delivering best-in-class experiences that enable users to immerse themselves in a new visual future. Our mission is to deliver performance and competitive analysis to influence action that advances Intel's leadership. Our team is seeking for Graphics Performance engineers that are passionate about computers, graphics, gaming, performance and have high desires to learn new technologies and skills. You will work with a group of performance and software development engineers while driving critical requirements for Intel to develop competitive discrete graphics products.

You will help us with the following responsibilities

  • Assembly, tuning and enablement of computing platforms (workstations, desktops, laptops, and others)
  • Enablement of the entire software stack on such devices, including operating systems, software profiling tools and other relevant software components such as BIOS, UEFI and device drivers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, standardized and highly efficient lab setup that interacts with other users who are in remote work. Being able to include support for new platforms and maintain inventory and tracking of existing devices.
  • Troubleshoot systems and automation: find reasons for errors, correct booting problems, resolve connectivity issues, debug automation scripts and others.
  • Kickoff experiments and data collection, ensure quality of the data, oversee runs to ensure correct functioning, post process results, and analyze them based on theoretical computer engineering principles.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field OR 6+ years of industry experience.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience with computer assembly, enablement, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with 3D Gaming and Workstation benchmarking methods and processes.
  • Strong system level experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems as well as computer architecture, including BIOS, drivers, memory, storage, graphics, and CPU.
  • Sense of Urgency: Able to work in a fast-paced environment, executing multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
  • Familiarity with scripting: Python, AHK, PowerShell, Bash, etc.
  • Experience in Graphics drivers and tools from Intel, AMD, NVidia and third-party.
  • Have a deep understanding in Digital Rights Management (DRM) applications such as Steam, Uplay, Origin, Windows Store, and others.
  • Proactivity: Able to implement/suggest processes/methods/tools that increase efficiency and quality. Looks for solutions and provides input before being asked to do so.
  • Detect irregular patterns in the data and hardware/software conditions that might affect performance, early in the performance analysis process.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
