If you are passionate
about computer graphics and working with leading graphics engineers
on Intel's latest GPU/CPU architecture, then Intel's Xe
Architecture and IP Engineering team has opportunities for you. As
part of the Xe Architecture and IP Engineering team we will focus
on architecting, designing and verifying our Xe IP roadmap. We have
ambitions to scale Xe from tera-flops to zetta-flops and this team
will grow to achieve that. We are looking for Graphics Validation
Tools Engineer with great interpersonal and communication skills to
join the team to help us develop software to exercise all the
features of our discrete and integrated graphics processors. We're
at the center of graphics processor engineering, working with
graphics design, architecture, simulation, driver development, and
validation to create realistic traffic for our 3D, compute, media
encode/decode, display, and blitter engines, as well as
multithreaded vector processing cores. You'll learn many aspects of
graphics and system architecture and software engineering while
working with other smart, motivated
engineers.
You will help us with the following
responsibilities which will include but not be limited
to:
- Working on graphics traffic generation tools used to
validate integrated and discrete GPUs at multiple levels of
abstraction
- Learning the graphics core architecture,
including one or more of: 3D, blitter, media encode/decode,
compute, display, or virtualization/memory-management

Designing and developing tool features and extensions in an Agile
environment
- Collaborating with design, architecture,
pre-and post-silicon validation, and graphics driver development
and functional simulation to make sure all aspects of our
architecture are
covered
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and internship experience.
Minimum
skills and experience:
Must have a
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/ Computer
Engineering or any related field plus 3 years of industry
experience. Or a Master's degree in the same fields with
1+ year educational or related industry
experience.
Your experience must be
in the
following:
Object-oriented software development specifically in C/C++ (data structures, memory management, recursion, etc.)
Computer architecture, (virtual memory, caching, multiprocessing, pipelining, etc.)
Software debug
Preferred skills and
experience:
Graphics APIs (DirectX, Vulkan, OpenGL, Metal, etc.)
Graphics architecture (3D, compute, media encode/decode, display, etc.)
Working in Linux
