The data center Hardware Engineering team is looking for a talented storage engineer. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a passion for working on finding solutions to meet the storage needs for our services. You will work with a small, tight-knit team of fun, creative and hardworking engineers. The group's charter is to deliver best-in-class hardware storage solutions to our data center.

Key Qualifications

  • SSD device development experience
  • SSD system integration experience
  • Expertise in test framework development and reporting
  • Protocol knowledge of SATA and PCIe interfaces is a plus
  • Experience in high level programming languages and databases (Python, HTML, JavaScript, mySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Splunk)
  • Experience with SSD subsystems is a plus (NAND, DRAM, PMIC, PLP, FTL, Controller Architecture)
  • Ability to analyze complex issues with SSD behaviors and review performance results
  • Extraordinary communication and documentation skills

Description

A storage testing and integration engineer should have experience with:

Working with a vendor to learn enough about a particular SSD's architecture to develop validation tests and criteria for a successful device qualification

Working with cross functional teams to develop tests and criteria to perform SSD integration testing at a system level

Crafting, building, and executing tests at scale using automation to collect, analyze, and report on SSD behaviors maximally

Drive vendors to resolve problems found in test and participate in the feedback loop to close issues efficiently

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
