Summary: 

We’re looking to hire a Director of Product to oversee Hipmunk’s product management team. You will be responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and execution and own key business results for both our consumer (B2B) and SAP Concur Hipmunk (B2B2C) product. This includes delivering compelling and innovative features to our customers, accelerating and driving end-user adoption of the SAP Concur Hipmunk product, and hitting our revenue targets for our consumer business. You will be shipping new products as well as making improvements on existing products for millions of frequent travelers, who travel for business and leisure. You’ll own all components of the product, including:

 

  • Core experience, across all platforms (web and mobile) and verticals (air, hotel, car, vacation rentals).
  • Supplier, connections, and content integrations and API layers.
  • Concur Hipmunk supplier marketplace and integrations with Concur Expense, TripLink, TripIt, Analytics, and other Concur products.

 

The Role:

In this role, you’ll will be managing a nimble team of 3-4 senior and principal level PMs and as well as rolling your sleeves up to work with an agile, cross-functional team of designers and engineers on some of our largest projects. You’ll be a key player, communicating across teams (engineering, design, marketing, business development) to deliver value to our end users and to the business. To be successful, you should have experience working with technical teams, be able to identify new market opportunities, prioritize based on data and customer feedback, and be a strong communicator to all levels of the organization, including executive stakeholders. This role will report directly to the Vice President of the Consumer Travel Products group at Concur, which includes Hipmunk, TripIt, and Virtual Assistants.

 

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience, at least 2 years managing a PM team
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Track record of innovating and launching consumer products with cross-functional teams
  • Strong data analytic skills and experience (including A/B testing)
  • Experience with APIs and internet technologies
  • Experience working with external partners
  • Experience writing requirement documents
  • Strong at communicating with executives, design, and engineering

 

A plus if you have

  • MBA degree
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, related technical degree, or similar practical experience
  • Experience working in consumer or business travel
