From converged AI and HPC workloads to multipurpose systems to diverse architectures, were asking more of our HPC systems than ever before.
We are seeking an HPC System Power-On, System Bring-Up, Validation and Debug Engineer who can help us to integrate, validate, and debug our HPC platform to small scale systems. In this role the selected person would own Power-Ons (platforms) and Bring-Ups (systems) and during these activities manage integration activities, partner with validation and debug teams to ensure we shift left quality. (Find and triage bugs as early as we can.)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Understanding board and system level Power-On and Bring-Up Plans
Critically analyze for gaps
Drive Power-On and Bring-Up activities
Perform power-on/bring-up validation and systems debug
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer / Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years experience in one, or more, of the following:
Development, validation, and/or debug working experience within a corporate environment
Leading a diverse, geographically dispersed technical team (E.G., Design, Power-On, Validation, Debug) up to 80 individuals
Programming in C, Python, MPI, and/or OpenMP
Linux kernel programming
Linux kernel, CentOS, and SLES platform experience
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot Hardware issues
Behavioral Attributes:
Ability to work with a diverse team, with a strong history of collaboration
Strong problem-solving including situations that are new to Intel and involve multiple organizations to resolve (inside and outside of Intel)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer / Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 4+ years experience as outlined above
HAS, MAS, PAS, and/or RPAS documentation familiarity
Silicon or Platform Design, Validation and Power-On Leadership
Developing and debugging Linux kernel, CentOS, and SLES
HPC software and/or hardware debug in a Linux environment
Hands-on lab experience with hardware system debug tools, PythonSV, and logic/network analyzers
Server or HPC environment working experience
Building Cluster or High-Performance Systems
Electrical and Signal Validation, System RAS, Scale System Power Validation and Debug
