As an HR Research
Scientist, you'll be part of Intel's Workforce Science Solutions
team, which integrates qualitative and quantitative methods to
conduct enterprise research/analytics for Intel workforce and
people strategies. On this team, you will be part of a
highly-collaborative crew of deep experts, charged with harnessing
rigorous data and behavioral science to bring talent insights to
life and offer guidance on talent-related business challenges. We
are looking for an HR Researcher who can lead and collaborate with
other experts inside and outside the team in the design and
delivery of rigorous workforce research. You will apply expertise
in research methods as both an internal consultant/thought leader
and a technical research lead, in pursuit of deeper understanding
of Intel's workforce and opportunities to address business needs.
Your research will be in support of business challenges related to
various talent topics, including employee engagement, diversity,
management/leadership development,
retention, etc.
As an HR Research Scientist,
responsibilities will include but are not limited
to:
Partner and consult with teams across HR on people projects to identify and clarify critical people issues, deeply understand our people processes, and analyze data to drive improvements.
Apply subject-matter knowledge and expertise (drawing from theory, along with rigorous qualitative and quantitative methods) to design and conduct workplace research and improve prediction of employee motivation and behaviors.
See beyond the data to identify solutions that will raise the bar for all things people-related
Communicate data insights (including statistical analyses and results) and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence business decisions; be a scientific thought leader in the people function.
Influence audiences at all levels and drive action planning by translating research findings into business-relevant stories.
Bring together Intel-specific data and outside research to help leaders understand people issues.
Collaborate with the Employment Labor Law and Privacy teams on a variety of sensitive projects.
Collaborate with and mentor other team members.
Build a broad network and leverage internal expertise, consultants, and vendors to provide the highest quality and timely strategic business value.
Manage research projects from start to finish (including scoping, research design, stakeholder management, etc.), with minimal guidance.
Navigate through ambiguity, adapt effectively to changing situations, and innovate in solving complex problems. Stay curious, get creative, and think outside the box for research opportunities and design.
Experience influencing audiences at all levels and drive action planning by translating research findings into business-relevant stories.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum qualifications:
PhD with 3+ years of experience, or MS with 5+ years of experience in a field emphasizing people research in organizations (e.g., Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Behavioral Economics, Experimental Psychology, etc.).
2+ years of experience in the following:
Influencing audiences at all levels and drive action planning by translating research findings into business-relevant stories.
Conducting quantitative and qualitative people research in an organization or consulting environment, including working with stakeholders to understand and clarify their people research needs, and communicating analyses to technical and non-technical audiences.
Applying behavioral science methods (such as literature review, survey methods, experiments, linear and logistic regression techniques, etc.) to design and conduct research studies in the workplace setting to address business problems.
Managing and analyzing structured data using tools such as SQL, SPSS, R, or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD with 5+ years of experience, or MS with 7+ years of experience in a field emphasizing people research in organizations (e.g., Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Behavioral Economics, Experimental Psychology, etc.).
Expertise in experiment design, nudging, natural language processing (NLP), or Organizational network analytics (ONA).
Experience managing and analyzing unstructured data using tools such as SQL, R, or Python.
3+ years of experience applying advanced, multivariate statistical methods such as GLM, analysis of quasi-experimental research designs with non-equivalent groups (e.g., regression adjustment, matching, propensity score stratification), longitudinal analysis, classification, dimension reduction, clustering, hierarchical linear (random effects) modeling, etc., to people research problems in organizations.
5+ years of experience working internally (as opposed to consulting) in an organization with 5000+ professional employees (e.g., high-tech, financial services, healthcare, biotech, etc.).
Experience working in a high growth, global company and in HR Tech.
Prior experience with HR Programs such as Recruiting, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Development, Performance Management, etc.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
