Ensures platform and its components have the best performance and power balance specifically focusing on graphics hardware components. Research and development of next generation platform designs to continually improve the performance. Conducts system analysis on proprietary and competition platforms, develops advanced hardware tuning and overclocking.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

* Fab sort yield modeling and realization by collaborating with architecture/design (recovery modeling), fab and manufacturing teams.
o Exposure to industry yield analysis tool synopsys yield explorer would be a advantage.
* Architecting the manufacturing test strategy (ATE/SLT or PPV) and silicon characterization for new product features and internal/external sourced Ips.
* Collaborating with the manufacturing teams for project scoping (head count/BTI/test flow/ Yield/Test time/quality metrics/Power-on goals) and optimizing them based on product requirements.
* Collaborate with design teams in realizing the product parametric landing zones (leakage/Vmin/VF curve/Cdyn/guard band). Facilitate/drive root cause of all post silicon sightings by extensively partnering with design and manufacturing teams.
* Partner with product power 'n' performance teams (design/platform) for product optimization.
^ Explore alternate product construction technologies for packaging/test/bump based on product requirements (both external and internal).
* Partnering with PDT/PXT/Finance teams to adequately model the engineering sample requirements and convert them into wafer start plan (including skew silicon), and oversee/resolve sample challenges during the post silicon phase.
* Manufacturing test strategy/scoping and post silicon execution of external foundry advanced node AXG test chips.
* Facilitate retrospectives for all post silicon issues with clear action items/owners.
* Bi-weekly yield reporting (Sort/test/slt or PPV/finish) for all AXG products and post them in share point for both BU and Engineering consumption.
* Drive continuous manufacturing improvements across yield (DFM/modeling), quality (cell aware), nextGEN IO enabling.
