This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.
The successful Test R and D Engineer Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of information processing hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for central processing units (CPUs) and/or peripheral equipment.
Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports.
Ensures products conform to standards and specifications.
Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risk.
Develops procedures, analysis and design of computer components, products, and systems.
Initiates, guides, and coordinates overall design and development of new ideas and products.
Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
This position
involves building world class Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) test
instrumentation and capabilities to support product test at
Intel.
The
candidate will be responsible to work in collaboration with
Hardware (HW) design and Field Programmable Gate Array
(FPGA)/software development teams to build instruments and to
validate them to meet the functionality and capability on par and
exceeding the current industry
standards.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other related field with 6+ months of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ months of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) development.
- Fundamentals knowledge in the electrical test/HW validation
- Component test processes and/or methodology.
- Scripting skills (python), basic coding skills (C, C++).
