As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0
strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully
vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the
CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and a major
provider of the US and European-based capacity to serve customers
globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other
Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and
process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe -
available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio
that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics,
media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical
foundational IP, along with ARM and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will
also provide access to silicon design services to help our
customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using
industry-standard design packages.
About The
Role:
Device and Roadmap Engineer will be responsible for,
but not limited to:
- Perform competitive analysis for Intel foundry platform technologies
- Scope out solutions for future technology in CMOS, memory, embedded memory, power and analog process technology
- Characterize device issues and come up with physics-based process solutions
- Extract accurate compact models and do what if analysis to understand process option
- Create test structure design and layout to characterize device level issues
- Resolve process flow integration problems

Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications
are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a
plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must possess at least one of the 2 following degrees, plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas of expertise specified below:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience.
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience.
Required
experience above should be in Device simulation tools such as
Synopsys Sentaurus, Coventor SEMulator, or Silvaco Victory and any
combination of the following:
- Process integration and device physics
- Process technology development and optimization of technology definition using Design-Technology Co-optimization (DTCO) methodology.
- Device physics and interconnect technology characterization.
- Logic/memory process technologies such as FinFET, GAA, CFET, DMOS.

IFS is already engaged with customers today, starting with our existing foundry offerings. We are expanding imminently to include our most advanced technologies optimized for cutting-edge performance, making them ideal for high-performance applications.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
