WHAT YOU'LL DO: Responsibilities 


 ADP seeks an Implementation Consultant to join its team.  Are you a self-motivated person able to work independently while maintaining control of your projects and workload? Then the Implementation Consultant position is perfect for a person like you!

The Implementation Consultant’s primary role is translating requirements identified during the sales cycle and documented by our internal analyst into an elegant, fully configured solution that simplifies clients’ complex workforce data processes and calculations. This role is critical in providing a high-quality product and exceptional client experience.

Solution Cofiguration

Review Technical Design Document (TDD) and supporting information, then build and configure the software using proprietary IDI tools.  Use established Best Practices to design a solution that is both accurate and supportable. This includes:

  • Write and validate the configuration plan: brainstorm scenarios for test plans, develop test plans from scenarios, create data for test plans, and add scenarios for configuration-specific testing.
  • Build and configure a client-specific solution that meets best practices for reliability and supportability: create custom code as necessary, and use advanced configuration techniques.
  • Execute test plan; perform validation and quality analysis.
  • Work with partners and 3rd party vendors to unit test solutions before the client testing phase.
  • Write internal solution documentation to ensure ongoing support.
  • Facilitate internal handoff to Implementor and Business Analyst.

Initially, the Configuration Specialist relies on mentor instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform configurations. With additional training and experience, a certain degree of creativity and latitude is encouraged. This position is expected to:

  • Accurately configure a new interface based on specifications submitted.
  • Accurately modify an existing interface based on client feedback or new requirements.
  • Test a configuration to ensure proper functionality.
  • Demonstrate the ability to configure increasingly complex IDI integration solutions.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:Required Qualifications 

  • Experience with data retrieval, analysis, manipulation, and transformation.
  • Experience in data analysis for support/troubleshooting which may or may not include ASCII files, XML, and databases.
  • Experience programming or supporting custom applications (.NET, Visual Basic, VBA, C#, etc.) a plus
  • Experience implementing and/or supporting enterprise-grade software solutions; preferably HCM applications (i.e. time & attendance, payroll, accounting, point of sales, or HR-related software applications) a plus
  • Software QA or testing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate, effectively, and in a collaborative manner with co-workers, clients, and vendors.
