Job Description

The Aerospace, Transportation and Advanced Systems Laboratory (ATAS), is looking for a student assistant in the Food Processing Technology Division (FPTD) for Fall 2018. The researchers are looking for assistance with its research and experimental activities. The student will work under the guidance of GTRI researchers performing one or more of the following activities:

  • Assist research team with research projects in the area of modeling of complex systems and transportation systems;
  • Data entry, data aggregation and manipulation using spreadsheets and databases;
  • Create flow charts and spreadsheets in support of current research projects;
  • Conduct literature review.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering or Mechanical Engineering 
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
  • Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed the freshman and sophomore years;
  • Experience with system modeling and simulation is a plus;
  • Be able to work 10-15 hours per week;
  • Strong written, verbal and analytical skills required;
  • Be detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills.
