Job Description:

Industrial Security Specialist's primary duties will include working in the Classified and Sensitive
Material Management (CSMM) office in accordance with the requirements set forth in company policy, CSMM work instructions, NISPOM, ISPOM supplements, Executive Orders, ITAR and EAR.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following: Maintaining control and accountability of
classified documents/media, populating Access Commander with required information to ensure strict accountability/disposition of classified material, inspecting packages for tamper, receipt and dispatch of classified material via approved methods to include packing and shipping, and processing Global Security Services Request System (GSSRS) requests.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interface with government customers and employees at all levels. The candidate should be effective at organizing and prioritizing customer/management requests within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Organizational skills to include attention to detail, time management and ability to multi-task are a high priority. Strong communications skills are expected, to include: excellent writing, speaking, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills. Must be a self-starter and capable of working with a limited level of supervision and guidance, be committed to continuous learning and professional development, and work well as a member of cross functional teams.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Applicants will be considered for the Industrial Security Specialist I / G06 position or the Industrial
Security Specialist II /G07 position based on the candidates experience, skills & education as they relate to the role.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study is required.
  • Must have a current, final Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance -a current investigation is defined as an investigation not older than 6 years.
  • Industrial Security Specialist I less than 2 years of professional experience with a related Bachelors degree.
  • Industrial Security Specialist II - 2 years of professional experience, preferably in a similar role with a related Bachelors degree.
  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM/NISPOM supplements
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • U.S Citizen
Desired Skills:
  • In depth working knowledge of classified document control processes to include: control and accountability of classified material, Access Commander software, Industrial Security knowledge
  • Current Top Secret clearance
  • Knowledge of destruction requirements for classified material
  • Basic understanding of the following: Classified Visitor Control systems and NATO requirements for documents and media
  • Data management experience
  • Knowledge of classification marking requirements and caveats such as NATO, FGI, RD, CNWDI, etc.
  • Must be able to pay strict attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study is required.
Security Clearance: This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a Secret security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
