What Your Job Will Be Like:

Are you passionate about using your analytical skills to craft solutions to sophisticated technical issues? Become our next Information Systems Architect for our Enterprise Logging team!

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Develop, maintain, and configure reliable operations of physical or virtual server infrastructure on multiple networks (unclassified and classified.) This may include software upgrades, patching, security updates, and hot fixes, etc.

+ Install and upgrade of software, management of servers, and integration of automation processes

+ Solve hardware and software errors, document problems and resolutions, prioritize problems, and assess impact of issues

+ Maintaining hardware and software enterprise standards across the infrastructure

+ Create/modifying scripts to perform tasks for the systems

+ Supervise performance of the systems and storage capacity for future optimization and planning

+ Develope automated solutions to improve efficiency of the service

+ Integrate Splunk with the infrastructure by developing, installing, and managing of apps, add-ons, searches, alerts, and dashboards

+ Onboard new data ingests and other tasks associated with Enterprise Logging

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite up to 80% of the time.

Qualifications We Require:

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or relevant field, plus two (2) years of relative experience; Or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

+ Plus a minimum of one (1) year experience of Linux system administration which includes an in-depth understanding of computer software, hardware, networks

+ Plus two (2) or more years' experience of customer support and cross-departmental collaboration

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q level clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

+ Desire to learn and implement Enterprise logging (Splunk) industry standard methodologies

+ Experience in some of the following:

+ Scripting and automation tools; Networking principles and network troubleshooting; Working with formal Agile / Scrum principles.

+ Implementing and developing IT operations standard methodologies, including knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols

+ Design, implementation, and support of a distributed Splunk environment (indexers, forwarders, search-heads, search head clusters, index clusters, and deployment servers)

+ Linux and Windows agents for Splunk; Knowledge of virtualization

+ System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus

The Enterprise Service Management and Monitoring group provides enterprise Change Enablement, Event Management, Service Asset and Configuration Management of Sandia's Information Technology (IT) environment to ensure the health of Sandia's IT environment by providing 24/7 monitoring and response. We also provide Enterprise logging services, that serves as a foundation for our corporate Cybersecurity mission.

Security Clearance:
