Information Systems Engineer Project Manager (Experienced)

We are seeking an Information Systems Engineering Project Manager to provide operational and technical leadership to support delivery of a set of key strategic technical services to enable the successes of the IT, scientific, and engineering communities at Sandia. On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Lead teams in the delivery of services and provide operational oversight
+ Learn new technologies, concepts, and processes while maintaining communications with all the organizations customers and partners
+ Represent the organization in center-wide and corporate-wide IT initiatives
+ Participate in planning/operations meetings across diverse fields.
+ Document plans and controls to understand all the ongoing work in the department
+ Collaborate with various teams in department with critical data and information


+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus five years' relevant experience, or 13 years' relevant experience
+ You will have experience managing or leading teams in an IT environment
+ You will have experience working with customers to understand requirements
+ You will have experience producing detailed documentation
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance


+ Master's degree in technical field or relevant discipline plus two years experience
+ Willing to take initiative, take ownership of job responsibilities, and make appropriate decisions to complete tasks
+ Project Management certification
+ Knowledge of emergent IT technologies and industry trends
+ Excellent Leadership Abilities.
+ Good communication, team-building, and conflict-resolutions skills.
+ Proven teaming skills
+ Ability to work and communicate with a diverse set of staff and management
+ 5 years of technical, operational or project management experience
+ IT industry technical certifications
+ Active DoE clearance

Department Description:

Mission Computing Services (MCS) enables the delivery of critical National Security programs by providing tailored IT services to the IT, Scientific, and Engineering Communities at Sandia. MCS provides System Administration, Software Development, Cybersecurity, Analysts, and various other IT support in the classified/unclassified environments for Linux/Windows operating systems. Mission Computing Services partners with sister organizations and other corporate IT providers in the delivery of its services and is engaged in technology development efforts to transform Sandias cyber security posture and members of the workforce productivity.

Security Clearance:
