Development ATA ( Analytics and Technology
Automation) Factory Infrastructure group is looking
for a Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer to support
compute/network/storage/virtual/cloud infrastructure. Engineers on
our infrastructure team are responsible for providing third tier
support of manufacturing systems, building out automation
infrastructure. They will be responsible for the planning,
installation, maintenance and operation of server hardware and
supporting infrastructure at scale. They are also expected to
design/troubleshoot/automate mission critical manufacturing
infrastructure systems which keeps the Intel factories running.
Predicting data center growth and scaling issues before they occur
and implement solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for
strategic and tactical issues such as ensuring and sustaining
safety, security, availability, cost management, risk assessment
and mitigation, review corrective and preventative maintenance of
critical infrastructure and metric
reporting.
The person should enjoy working in a
fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility is key to
their success. We seek a professional with management and
leadership experience and advanced hands-on technical skills in
Server Hardware, Project Management, Quality Management, Data
Analytics, Networks, OS repair, Linux and Automation. Having depth
and breadth of knowledge of managing servers in a large-scale
distributed environment is a core competency of this individual.
The individual will be expected to learn the business models used
within the Intel process technology development environment and use
this to define, design, and develop systems that support the
factory applications that track material, control processing,
and/or analyze data critical to the success of the technology
development
process.
Responsibilities:
Managing and supporting the entire server lifecycle
Optimize server landing process
Project management and coordinating decisions across multiple teams
Documenting business and technical items for planning and reporting
Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
Perform vendor management for colocation facilities.
Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion
The ideal candidate must exhibit the following behavioral traits/skills:
Has a strong aptitude for trouble shooting and problem solving
Ability to maintain SLAs through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting
Ability to follow accurate and complete support procedures, system documentation, and issue tracking entries
Shows good judgment and instincts in decision making
Background and understanding of business principles, practices and procedures
Advanced problem-solving skills
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- 3+ years of experience working in critical infrastructure operations
Preferred
Qualifications
- Experience in server lifecycle from receiving to racking to building a server
- Experience in capacity planning
- Technical experience in troubleshooting Windows/Linux OS

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
