ADP is hiring a Institutional Investment Consultant II. In this position you will provide investment change processing, performance reporting and pricing support to small, mid, large and custom retirement plan clients. The Client Investment Services Consultant will also assist with client pricing to ensure the required revenue targets are being met. This Institutional Investment Consultant will be a self-motivated, team goal oriented individual with an extensive background in retirement plans, with a focus on investment knowledge for DC plans and a thorough understanding of the ADP investment platforms. A complete understanding of retirement plan economics and the ability to master the ADP pricing model; including ERISA budget accounts, fund revenue allocation, and soft vs hard dollar revenue, are a must for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as an effective team member responsible for maintaining a mailbox that receives 50-75 request per day involving fund change request, plan repricing requests, P2P requests and general investment inquiries.
  • Effectively communicate and partner with client service and/or sales on the resolution of resulting fund mappings, additions and deletions.
  • Effectively communicate with CSM's, DM's and Advisor partners around the impact of fund changes and repricing requests to plan economics, and have details investment and pricing conversations around those requests.
  • Conduct proactive pricing reviews for targeted clients to increase retention.
  • Document and archive all plan inquiries to the mailbox and effectively respond via the SmartForm system, while tracking tasks completed in Suite CRM.
  • Partner with CS, FA/RIA and sales to identify revenue/risk opportunities and provide guidance/direction as to implementation strategy.
  • Ability to quickly master the AIS system.
  • Proactively monitor client satisfaction with investment performance and provide timely plan analysis, industry trends and other market condition updates.
  • Ability to quickly learn the Advisor Utopia system through Fluent, and produce and help explain Scorecard reports for advisor attached plans.
  • Produce and deliver ad hoc supplemental reports throughout the quarter to support or explain information contained in other ADP reports.
  • Utilize client contact management database to log and track all interactions and history with clients regarding investment communications.
  • Additionally, utilize the Suite CRM to track all activity performed that takes more than 20 minute of work hours.
  • Initiate/lead projects that will increase the retirement plan investment knowledge of clients and internal ADP associates.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to members of other ADP teams as well as the Client Service Organization.
  • Proactively identify learning or professional development needs related to the Investment Consultant role.
  • Develop and maintain client/advisor relationships within the senior levels of the organization.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 8 to 10 Years' Experience and knowledge in the financial markets and varying investment products associated with retirement plans.
  • Extensive knowledge of ADP and competitor retirement plan platforms and investment offerings.
  • Ability to quickly master the ADP pricing model and attached programs like EBA's and FRA.
  • Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in education and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • FINRA Licensing 6 & 63
  • CEBS and/or ASPPA Preferred
  • ChFC Preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of competitive advantages and disadvantages of investment products and fund families.
  • Experience in managing executive level relationships / partnerships with clients and third parties.
  • Understanding Retirement Plan revenue generation.
  • Ability to negotiate plan pricing based on client needs and current market conditions Industry Knowledge: Applies the understanding of industry terminology, process flow and structure to problem solving and communications.
  • Collaborative Skills: Influences others through involvement in processes and decision making; builds and sustains relationships of trust and respect with others.
  • Analysis Skills: Identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for developing appropriate solutions.

  • Service Oriented: Understands the perspective of the client and takes action(s) to integrate the client's needs with the products and strategic direction of ADP; builds a relationship of trust and respect with the clients.
  • Communication: Delivers highly professional presentations and communications throughout the client and ADP organizations.
