Responsibilities:

Design and develop curriculum and determine instructional methods.

Develop and lead a team of instructors.

Continuously evaluate and improve existing training as appropriate.

Facilitate classroom training using principles of active and discovery-based learning.

Assist in planning and designing employee development activities.

Measure and monitor training impact and effectiveness.

Apply new learning technologies and processes to training design and delivery.

Participate in other projects, as assigned.

Actively model SEL values and culture of quality and excellence.

Understand. Create. Simplify.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Passion for developing people

Passion for teaching math and/or science

Minimum four years of experience teaching high school or post-secondary level math and/or science which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Math: Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, basic statistics, discrete mathematics, and/or programming
  • Science: Chemistry, physics, and/or electronics

Bachelors degree in math, science or equivalent work experience

Excellent communication and listening skills in order to facilitate learning with individuals and groups

Experience developing, designing and delivering a variety of math, science, and/or technology lessons

Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver high quality instruction

Willingness to travel in order to serve as an instructor in field offices

Flexibility in curriculum design and implementation, to meet the evolving demands of a dynamic workplace.
Humility in front of a class, to support and welcome learners with diverse backgrounds.
Agility modifying the learner's experience, to meet their interests, needs, and questions.
Curiosity beyond your professional expertise to model expert learning rather than expert knowing.

Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

Background check results satisfactory to SEL

Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters or PhD degree in math or science

Experience teaching post-secondary math, science, and/or technology

Experience teaching in a corporate environment
