The Intel Module Repair (IMR) Development Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist position serves as a High Precision Development Machinist in the IMR Organization. The position will support all Intel factories in design and fabrication of custom parts, equipment and assemblies.
The Intel Module Repair Machinist will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Operating, maintaining, and performing maintenance on various specialized machining equipment.
- Writing and following detailed procedures, specifications and design files.
- Accurately maintaining product data records as well as internal work orders.
- Performing failure analysis and accurately documenting the results in reports.
- Assisting with engineering development and continuous improvement projects.
- Researching new methods for high precision fabrication, software development, and tooling.
- Lead presentations to IMR engineers, managers, stakeholders, and other business partners.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess an Associate degree in CNC Machining Technology and 5+ years of relevant development/prototype machinist experience, or
- 8+ years of experience performing high precision CNC machining as a development/prototype machinist in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of relevant experience in:
- 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) design such as Solid Works, Pro E, Auto CAD.
- Cam software such as HyperMILL, Mastercam, SolidCAM, HSMWorks, Fusion360.
Candidate must be willing to:
- Lift up to 35 lbs. (18 kgs) 4 times a day.
- Spend the majority of time on the shop floor and office, and/or standing/sitting for 9 hours.
This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience reading schematics and/or complex drawings/diagrams.
- Experience operating and programming CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
- Experience with Lathe, Mill-turn and multi-axis CNC machines.
- TIG / MIG Welding experience.
- Microsoft Office knowledge and skills.
- Understanding of the importance of quality and knowledge to perform quality assurance checks.
