Intern - Enterprise IT Tools & Services Technical Undergrad Year Round

We are seeking an Intern Year Round \- Technical Undergrad

Our team is seeking an enthusiastic undergraduate intern with an interest and the skills to perform a wide range of activities spanning DevOps, System, and User Support; Data Analysis, Reporting, and Warehousing using the Microsoft Data Stack; and SharePoint Sites and Workflows\.

In addition to current data analysis, reporting, scripting, and similar experience, the selected candidate must be highly motivated, possess effective communication skills, be detail oriented, be comfortable with change and flexibility, and have ability to research solutions to data and development issues\.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Provide Tier 3/4 Support for an in\-house suite of software

+ Collaborate with a range of stakeholders spanning Business Operations, Cyber Security, and Information Technology to assist in architecting cross\-functional solutions

+ Respond to data calls, conduct basic data analysis, and develop self\-service reporting solutions

+ Maintain and extend multiple SharePoint sites, including custom lists and workflows

+ Take responsibility for timely completion of tasks identifying alternative approaches or work\-arounds when problems are encountered

+ Seek constant improvement of products, processes, and systems, as well as continuous development and growth of skills


You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program

+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 3\.0/4\.0

+ Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer

+ U\.S\. citizenship

Additional Requirements:

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy \(DOE\) security clearance

+ Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow

+ The ability to work in a diverse team environment


+ Great interpersonal skills

+ Experience using SQL

+ Basic understanding of Linux and Windows

+ Awareness of Microsofts BI Stack: SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Query, etc\.

+ Knowledge of business intelligence, data analytics, and data visualization

+ Competence with PowerShell, Python, and R

+ Demonstrated ability dealing with challenging problems and implementing creative solutions

Department Description:

The Integrated Solutions Team in Department 10762 is one lead, two year\-round interns, and one summer intern, who are responsible for a wide range of cross\-functional data analysis and reporting capabilities; support functions for the Productions Tools teams primary system, often called The engine that drives IT at the Labs; and new/enhanced capability exploration\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.
