This position is the L-coded manager for assigned Iraqi Advanced Pilot Training program pilots. The selected candidate will direct and coordinate all flight operations efforts for the Iraqi APT program, in close coordination with the Senior Manager, Fighter Flight Operations and the Iraqi APT program leadership team.

1. Lead a team of approx. 10 personnel supporting the Iraqi Advanced Pilot Training (APT) program in the planning and execution of assigned responsibilities for both the Tucson and Iraq operating sites. Efforts include:
a. Establishing organizational construct, vision and direction and advising the Senior Manager, Fighter Flight Operations and Flight Operations Director and Aero Chief Pilot on all matters related to operations and personnel
b. Performing management functions to include labor/travel accounting, establishing personnel roles and responsibilities, hiring, promotions, awards, talent management, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and other human resource actions as required, ensuring compliance with all Lockheed Martin policies and procedures
c. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all company, FAA and government directives

2. Will be the primary Point of Contact (POC) on all matters related to Iraqi APT flight operations. This includes, but is not limited to:
a. Assign and coordinate the activities of all assigned personnel to support flight and ground training
b. Ensure aircrew currency and proficiency meet required standards and training as prescribed by contractual requirements and internal processes.
c. Responsible for flight safety for all operations. Ensure all aircrew have appropriate training and equipment, attend required aviation safety meetings, and develop/revise/update emergency/mishap response procedures
d. Coordinate and schedule Flight Operations aircrew support for all training requirements.
e. Coordinate daily flight operations with the Government Flight Representative and ensure all flying is conducted under the ground flight risk clause or through insured lease arrangements

3. Manage in coordination with Aero Chief Test Pilot, DCMA, maintenance, and Safety all annual or regularly scheduled inspections (i.e. AOI/GFR Surveys) related to the Iraqi APT program worldwide.

4. Responsible for the creation, content and annual reviews of all Consolidated Flight Operations Procedures

5. Will report to the Senior Manager, Chief of Fighter Ops in FTW but will primarily be assigned to the IAPT program and expected to perform IP duties. This position can be filled from Tucson or from Iraq, but will eventually migrate to Iraq upon Tucson closure

6. Will also serve as a F-16 Contract Instructor Pilot (IP) SME assigned to the Iraq Advanced Pilot Training (IAPT) program. Instructs newly trained Iraqi Air Force (IqAF) F-16 pilots in USAF authorized Tactics, Techniques and Procedures through USAF defined Continuation Training (CT) to enable IqAF to achieve and maintain F-16 Combat Mission Ready (CMR) status

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an interim Secret clearance to start.

Must have valid passport or capability to obtain

Basic Qualifications
Experience leading small to medium size teams
Candidate must be a current F-16 Instructor Pilot with a minimum of 1000 flight hours in 4th and/or 5th generation fighter aircraft.
Candidate must have prior experience in USAF Pilot Academic and Simulator Training.
Candidate must have operational experience with advanced sensor systems such as Night Vision Goggles (NVG) employment, Targeting Pod employment inc. Sniper, Lightening, LANTIRN, etc.) Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System and advanced weapons employment.
Candidate must be familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods.
Candidate must have experience working in an international environment or on an expatriate assignment

Desired skills
Experience with F-16 international pilot training curriculum
Familiarity with F-16 contractor program requirements
Extensive knowledge of F-16 systems for various blocks and models of aircraft
F-16 Full Mission Simulator and Weapons System Trainer experience
F-16 Functional Check Flight Pilot
