IT Manager, Enterprise Information Management

Albuquerque, NM

The Enterprise Information Management group \(10730\) is seeking a motivated Level 1 manager to lead the Corporate Web Design and Development department \(10731\)\. This team is responsible for defining and implementing the corporate information delivery and content management strategy along with the associate suite of software tools\. The manager will be leading a diverse team that includes web designers, software engineers, business systems analysts, information management professionals, UX engineers, and project managers\. Key functions of the work include the research, design, development, and deployment of advanced techniques and software systems related to content delivery, content management, and the modernization of Sandias IT ecosystem\. The successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability to work across several customer domains, develop close working relationships with our stakeholders, and deliver high\-quality software solutions within time and budget constraints\.


+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related technical field or equivalent experience\.

+ Minimum of five years experience in leading software devlopment projects through the full lifecycle involving the development, delivery, maintenance and operations of quality software products for a significant user base\.

+ Demonstrated success in designing and developing software solutions, information management, web development, content delivery, or content management systems\.

+ Demonstrated success in delivering information management, web development, or content delivery technologies into production IT environments\.

+ Experience with software engineering techniques \(examples may include: agile software development, design patterns, test\-driven development\)\.

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a required DOE Q security clearance\.


+ Two or more years of demonstrated leadership experience\.

+ Demonstrated leadership skills including strategic planning, creating roadmaps, developing partnerships, team building, and career development\.

+ Relevant experience and demonstrated success in introducing new technologies and capabilities\.

+ Experience in leading agile software development teams\.

+ Excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a teaming environment\.

+ Web applications programming languages, tools, and/or methodologies for developing integrated web applications\.

+ Web development and content delivery systems\.

+ Experience with software development technologies\.

+ Knowledge of web stack, mobile/responsive web development\.

+ Skills in web application design and development \(e\.g\., JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, PHP, Web Services, AngularJS\)\.

The Corporate Web Design and Development department's mission is to provide a high\-quality, cost\-effective, uniform web presence to the corporation\.

We help teams across Sandia use the web to communicate to the Labs and to the rest of the world\. We also build and maintain high\-impact corporate resources, such as Techweb, SAPLE, Sandia's wiki, and Sandia's public website\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\.
