PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

IT Services provides efficient IT solutions, technology and operational support to our Lines of Businesses (LoBs) with a strong focus on user-centricity. Supporting more than 80,000 employees and thousands of SAP systems, IT Services is delivering business applications be it classical SAP or new SaaS solutions, mobile apps, web & HANA Cloud Platform-based applications, as well as workplace technology services covering hardware, client software and unified communications solutions.

Fundamentally, IT Services is enabling SAP to become a Digital Enterprise with happy end users.

The Application Architecture will be responsible for SAP’s application landscape for selected LoB’s and will be leading architecture for one of Top 10 IT programs in commissions management area. The goal is to understand As-Is application landscape and plan To-Be landscape, support data and model driven technology decision making based on capabilities, and understand capabilities, dependencies and opportunities for consolidation & simplification. The responsibilities will include the areas like:

  • Commission management and respective application architecture (e.g. sales incentives)
  • GTM Planning processes and architecture
  • O2C and Revenue accounting,
  • Support move to Cloud Architecture and drive impact assessment of transformation Architecture
  • Provide/Drive SAP’s Application Architecture for Commissions management

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS 

  • Establish continuous governance procedures for Application architecture to support Commission management
  • Ensures that as much as possible standard solutions are used for the automation
  • Provide the expertise and define program architecture across LoBs
  • Analysis of current and target process, problem areas and requirements for commissions management,
  • Defines Application Architecture governance principles, organization and procedures for Commission management
  • Manages stakeholder understanding and expectation regarding the application design; ensuring functionality meets business needs and requirement of commissions management;
  • Enable collaboration across IT, P&I and business units
  • Provide strong support in architecture decision making for commission management
  • Drive application architecture analysis and investigations in commission management
  • Define Application architecture roadmap and establish the practice to define transformation path between As-Is and To-Be Application Architecture for commission management
  • Define, maintain and enforce Architecture principles, policies and standards for commissions management

WORK EXPERIENCE      

  • Prior experience as Application Architect or Program Architect
  • Experience in Callidus Commissions Management System architecture/implementation is preferred but other candidates will also be considered
  • Experience in Sales Ops tools like TPM, APM, PHM knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in finance architecture and process (quota types, quota planning etc.)
  • Experience in O2C architecture knowledge is a plus
  • Good understanding of revenue accounting and revenue commission areas, as well as accruals, capitalization is a plus for this job
  • Experience in application delivery processes, procedures & key metrics
  • Experience in architecture development methods
  • > 8 years of work experience in globally distributed environment
  • Experience in Agile methodology is a plus
  • Experience in working with cross-cultural teams
  • Experience with executive and business stakeholders communication
  • Experience in other LoB related processes and organizations are a plus such as Sales, HR, Revenue account, etc.

KEY COMPETENCES:

  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Strong Collaborative mindset (across teams and functions).
  • Strong overall knowledge of IT with particular focus on enterprise applications and application architecture.
  • Architecture development experience across Business, Application, Data and Technology domains.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, SAP EAF, Gartner, Zachman) and EA reference models.
  • General knowledge about case tools used to design and define all application architecture domains.
