ADP Insurance Services is hiring a Lead Business Development Analyst. In this position you will report into the VP of Product Marketing and Business Development as part of the Insurance Services Carrier Relations and Business Development team. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing business improvement opportunities for ADP's Insurance Services organization. The Lead Business Development Analyst understands business problems and opportunities based on a good level of knowledge of applicable ADP and ADPIA products, service environment and processes and can recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This person, in partnership with the VP, Strategy partner and Carrier Relations partners, participates in the implementation of new or revised products, programs, systems and procedures within the Insurance Services Service organization, and identifies and optimizes opportunities with 3rd party partners. The analyst may function as part of a defined project team where activities and timelines will be consolidated into a master project plan or may be tasked with ad-hoc business requests and expected to manage these tasks towards agreed upon deadlines. For projects or assignments with large technology components, this position may interface with a technical business analyst or lead architect to facilitate elaboration on suggested enhancements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the Tech organization to identify and solve for gaps within the APIA platforms
  • Find and Assess viable Insurance partners and platform partners
  • Partner with Legal to negotiate new contracts
  • Ongoing assessment of our current portfolio of partnerships
  • Pilot partnerships across ADPIA with Carrier partners, technology partners and the internal Tech organization
  • Gather information to recommend the development of new or revised processes, products or system enhancements for the Insurance Services organization.
  • Participates on project teams by gathering data and analyzing current business processes to provide input for requirements, implementation and technology.
  • Develops, executes and monitors post-implementation processes and new partner relationships to gauge effectiveness of the implemented changes to systems and controls introduced.
  • Provide recommendations on future action planning.
  • Proactively generate and present innovative approaches and opportunities to grow and strengthen the Service environment within Insurance Services. Increase knowledge of applicable products, systems and processes by visiting regions, creating relationships within ADP across ADP business units and incorporating new tools and best practices within the Engineering field.

 

  • QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
    Bachelors degree is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in business analytics, process modeling or continuous improvement projects 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Insurance industry
  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) with strong presentation skills and ability to interact with all levels of leadership.
  • Excellent PC skills
  • MS VISIO or equivalent for flowcharting is required.
  • MS Access or equivalent database knowledge is required.
  • MS Excel charting and knowledge of pivot table builds is required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective facilitation skills and ability to lead teams through elaboration sessions.
  • Understanding of Queuing Theory is required.
  • Experience with linear programming software is required.
  • Knowledge of SQL server query syntax is required.
  • Orbit/Crystal Reports/Brio reporting knowledge is required.
  • Ability to use Call Center Calculators based on Erlang algorithm is a plus.
  • Experience with simulation software is a plus.
  • Experience with Avaya CMS reporting or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience with IEX or equivalent workforce management software is a plus.
