The Graphics Research organization at Intel is a global team of world-class researchers who are focused on delivering world-leading transformational visual experiences with discrete and integrated graphics product families from Intel. We are looking for an outstanding Lead Artist to join Intel's Visual Experiences Team within Graphics Research. You will be an important partner in the project's success and committed to the company's mission. You will work with Directors to set goals, define work pipelines, guide vision, help develop project milestones. You work with the team to achieve best possible quality and set new standards in 3d Graphics and to create stunning environments. Qualified applicants will have Artistic expertise, capability, level design knowledge, and imagination to explore iterations and produce final scenes or levels in various rendering engines at AAA quality.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • 2D and 3D artistic skills, and the ability to apply them to various Real-time rendering systems
  • Extensive background in content creation pipeline development or, supervision on large scale projects in visual effects or, feature animation or AAA games or, similar experience
  • Expertise in 3dsMax, Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, or equivalent software.
  • Solid understanding of common content creation software packages such as; Unreal Engine, Maya, Houdini, Substance Painter/Designer, etc.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Photoreal Modeling and Texturing
  • AAA Game experience or Feature Film Experience
  • Unreal Engine Experience
  • Real-time Raytracing or Path Tracing
  • Physically Based Rendering (PBR) workflow
  • In-depth knowledge of material/shader development.
  • Technical knowledge to ensure assets and layouts are meeting optimization and quality metrics.
  • Professional knowledge of AAA game engines and render pipelines.
  • Willing to work in an open and collaborative environment
  • Experience working with external art vendors
  • Experience leading a small to medium team to success.
  • Unreal Engine expert would be a big plus.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
