The Client Platform and Silicon Architecture CPSA group in Intel's Client Computing Group CCG is looking for a Client Power Management PM Architect to drive silicon and system-level power optimizations across a new product that supports the value segment of client market.
The candidate will be part of the Client Power Architecture team, led by an Intel Fellow, and will be responsible for leading-platform Power Management Architecture of client platforms, driving initiatives, creating new solutions, setting PM architecture requirements and developing, and defining new features and enhancements for the next-generation platforms.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
Leading and delivering architectural enhancements for platform power deep immersion, creation and documentation of silicon and IP power management implementations, analysis and innovation of PM architecture, concepts and development of Functional Requirements, HAS/MAS and System Solutions Architecture Specifications.
Contributing to a number of system-level power management architecture functions including definition of power management architecture across different subsystems for IPs SOCs and platforms on client roadmap.
Analyzing of different options and system-level power management techniques for active and idle for SOC and platforms. Tech Readiness (TR) efforts, related to power management architecture features in various systems components, SOC platform Windows and Chrome OS device drivers and Firmware.
Contributing to platform architecture functions, including definition and system analysis of SOC IP features, Dynamic voltage, and frequency scaling. DVFS disposition of bugs issues and delivery of technical specs.
Supporting all management reviews and customer design win engagements related to power management architecture. Hands-on usage of power management, and debugging tools for system-level power optimizations, across various components of SOC and platforms, including different IP blocks clocks, power domains buses flow and interfaces.
Qualifications
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Physics or Electrical Engineer with 6+ years of industry experience
4+ years of experience in the following:
- PC client platform architecture and familiarity with SOC design different IP blocks including CPU GPU IPU Fabrics IO interfaces and interconnects
- Windows and Linux, Android, Chrome environment for client platforms and devices
- Experience with engineering processes power and performance modeling tools and forums such as PXTs and the ability to influence key decisions
- Experience in delivering or making significant visible contributions in management forums and customer design win reviews
2+ years of experience in the following:
- Analyzing cross-domain system-level bugs issues and working with cross- domain teams in Silicon SW and Platform Engineering teams in CCG driving power management requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree with 4+ years of industry experience
