  • Share and reuse testing assets for a range of end-user computing interests including: hardware imaging, operating system and application patching, robotic desktop automation, mobile, web and cloud applications and virtual desktop infrastructure. Common practices include validation testing, performance testing, black box testing, usability testing and A/B testing.
  • Review and approve software design specifications, including submitting defects with repeatable steps and analyzing defects to ascertain sources and nature of defects.
  • Communicate with Quality Assurance (QA), Development, and ADP business partner staff to ensure that testing/quality issues are documented, tested, and applied to established software product development timelines and deadlines.
  • Participate in requirements, design, and code reviews, and monitor product development progress throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).    
  • Develop and execute software test plans, write and maintain test automation scripts that match test plans, create data sheets to be used with test scripts, and perform manual, negative, and regression tests by executing batches of automated scripts.
  • Develop, maintain and execute performance test scripts based on the test plans
  • Provide adjustments to test completion of Software Development Life Cycle estimates and track progression of software products through QA testing processes.
  • Develop and implement software QA testing procedures and work with QA team members to ensure compliance with client specifications.
  • Work with Business Partners, Development, QA and Project Management teams to ensure that proper testing methodologies are used, defects are documented and diagnosed appropriately, and testing is completed according to established deadlines and processes.
  • Establish and adhere to software Quality Assurance (QA) standards and stay current with industry processes, trends, and techniques.
  • Responsible for leading QA team as needed through the design process by reviewing and approving design and product specifications
  • Work with management to define and execute strategy roadmaps for enterprise test development, test automation, and test management, including gathering requirements, gaining business consensus, and performing vendor and product evaluations
  • Provide stakeholders with timely status updates and applicable QA metrics throughout the SDLC
  • Develop tools and frameworks to run automated system level tests to collect and analyze data and verify key features of one or more products as they go through the hardware and software development life cycles.
  • Execute software benchmarks to measure complete system performance with tests based on real-world applications and activities.  Tests cover common office productivity tasks and digital content creation activities as well as user experience essentials, such as web browsing and app start-up time.
  • Measure solution quality by providing high-level benchmark scores, mid-level use-case scores, and low-level workload scores for improved insight into system performance.
  • Identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs in both structured and open styles of testing.
  • Solution focused work ethic with a high degree of flexibility supporting multiple projects of varying complexity and priority.
  • Engineer parallel testing practices to reduce execution time and extend breadth of coverage across multiple browsers/operating systems/devices.
  • Set up, qualify and maintain hardware test stations serving multiple configurations.  Automate repetitive processes to assist in the management of the lab. 
  • Automate critical patch management processes.  Escalate issues to appropriate engineering teams.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field plus seven (7) years of related experience in an EUC testing environment. Employer will accept a master’s degree plus three (3) years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree plus seven years of experience.


Years of experience must include:

  • Experience with testing Windows Desktop, Web, Mobile applications
  • Experience with testing application deployments such as SCCM, Intune, JAMF
  • Experience with testing windows OS, O365 and MSFT security patches and conducting desktop impact analysis
  • Test automation with at least two of the following automation technologies: Selenium, UFT, Perfecto, Appium
  • Experience in multi-OS environments (Windows, MacOS, Linux) with hardware and software development lifecycles
  • Machine imaging & system maintenance: instance creation, configuration, permissions, backup and recovery, and cloning
  • Programming and scripting with at least two languages related to testing tools/framework: Java, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, Python, VB.Net, C#
  • Integration tools (Jenkins, TestNG, Junit, AutoIT)
  • Testing, analyzing and developing: XML, JSON, RESTful APIs, Postman, SOAPUI
  • Software tracking systems, including Rally, ALM
  • HP ALM
  • Load Runner/Performance Center/ MS Visual Studio Load Testing/Junit
  • System Knowledge and Analysis, including writing SQL queries
  • Database testing using SQL (TOAD, SQL Plus)
  • Version Control (SharePoint/SVN/Git/Bitbucket)
  • Agile: Scrum, Kanban or Scrumban
  • Behavior Driven Development (BDD)/Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Test Automation Frameworks like Keyword, Data Driven, Hybrid and Page Object Model (POM)
  • Software defect tracking systems (Rally or JIRA)
