Take a leadership role in support of a key capability that enables MITRE's work for the Intelligence Community.  The position is a Lead Systems Administrator for an enclave based on Windows Workstation and Server Operating systems, Active Directory, Citrix Virtual Desktop, zero clients and Microsoft Exchange with the intent to add new capabilities and services over time.  The successful candidate will, in addition to providing top level technical support and vision, provide task leadership for a small team that supports both the infrastructure and manages end user issues.
An active TS/SCI with full scope polygraph is required.
Key functions:
Lead a small team responsible for managing an internal contractor WAN used to provide local collaboration capabilities along with access to sponsor.  Prioritize tasking and resolution of issues ranging from end users' problems to systemic issues and compliance concerns.  Recommend and implement automation for activities such as patching and system deployment that meet compliance criteria.  Recommend and implement means of monitoring and alerting for performance issues, outages and the like.  Periodically report situational awareness of WAN operations and help shape strategic vision for the WAN.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field and 8 years of experience. Candidate demonstrates an ability to apply advanced principles, theories and concepts comparable to those obtained with a Master's degree in a relevant field of study. Candidate understands the missions, domains and challenges of MITRE customers and is fully responsible for deliverables-including definition, completion, and technical quality, as well as assuring consistency across the responsibility span. In addition, candidate is able to define projects or programs greater than themselves.

1: Windows domain design and administration
2: Citrix VDI design and administration
3: Microsoft Exchange administration
4: Basic network device management (cisco)
5: Implementation and management of infrastructure/service monitoring and alerting
6: Familiarity with implementing and maintaining NIST 800-53 Security Controls / RMF compliance for the above
7: Strong Interpersonal, leadership and presentation skills

1: Familiarity with IP telephony and video conferencing
2: Sharepoint administration
3: Software license management
4: VMware VSphere administration
5: Linux
In accordance with DoD 8570.01M, the selected individual must meet the requirements of an IAT Level III as a condition of employment.
