Quicker, cheaper, better  Small satellite technology is revolutionizing access to space.  

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated technology expert to be the corporate focal point and subject matter expert in research and development, rapid prototyping, and test and evaluation of small satellite technologies supporting a wide variety of mission areas that supports the Space Enterprise Vision and the Space Warfighting Construct.  This includes on-orbit test and experimentation planning, technical objectives and concept of operations development including military utility assessments.

The right individual would be capable of providing highly technical aerospace engineering & physics-based modeling & simulation support to both, quick turn analysis as well as longer term, highly specific and detailed analysis to include support ops and mission planning/scheduling. 

This is a unique opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge to guide a space program from conception through launch to on-orbit operations, and transition to operations.

This position will require a TS/SCI level security clearance.

Required Qualifications:

BS/MS in Space Systems Engineering/Operations or related experience.
10 years experience in space systems engineering/operations.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI SSBI level security clearance.
Desire to learn and be a part of fast-paced and complex SSDP team.
Leadership experience and domain knowledge
Well-developed personal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Rapid space systems prototyping and small satellite experimentation
Space systems integration and test and evaluation (T&E)
Orbital mechanics and spacecraft design
