Job Description

Logic Technology Development (LTD) is looking for a highly driven and disciplined Industrial Engineering Group Leader (IE GL) to manage one of its capacity planning and Functional Area Industrial Engineering (FAIE) teams.

LTD is Intel's primary technology development site and is the first site to ramp every technology at high volume, making it critical to develop and plan on-time and cost-optimized factory capacity plans. Intel is counting on LTD to deliver predictable technology development and high-volume manufacturing output, and the capacity/FAIE team will be an essential enabler of that.

The IE GL's responsibilities will include the following:


- Lead a domain within LTD's technology development and/or ramp capacity planning deliverables, which can include characterizing tool capacity metrics, generating tool capacity plans and need dates, obtaining approvals for tool proposals, loading tool plans into the execution systems, and completing transfer deliverables to the virtual factory sites.
- Manage a group of FAIEs to analyze and plan tool capacity, including tool model development, capacity what-if analyses, capacity improvement projects, quarterly MOR proposals, and LTD tool plan definition and systems loads
- Develop, continuously improve, and effectively use business processes and systems to deliver with efficiency, timeliness, and quality
- Cultivate and reinforce Intel's cultural values and behaviors
- Ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance per Intel's management practices
- Plan, provide resources for, and direct activities to meet deliverables on schedule and with quality
- Set priorities for the team, drive results across organizational boundaries and remove roadblocks
- Identify and analyze problems, plan tasks and develops solutions


The candidate should embody the following traits:

  • Strong leadership, technical, business acumen, analysis, and people management skills

  • Experience leading teams and demonstrated the ability to inspire and grow team members in a dynamic and fast-paced fab environment

  • Strong partnership, collaboration, organizational savvy, influence, and communication skills across the site organization

  • Be results-oriented, capable of synthesizing requests from multiple customers as well as complex information into clear conclusions, strategies and actions that support business needs

  • Contribute to organizational growth through establishing business processes, standardization, and efficiency improvements

  • Strong self-initiative, persistence, and the ability to translate a high degree of ambiguity into clarity and action for a team

  • Ability to translate business and financial requirements into factory goals and strategies

  • Knowledge of key aspects of semiconductor equipment, operations, and cost

  • Experience in semiconductor equipment capacity and/or manufacturing operations

  • Knowledge of development, implementation, and the use of information decision support systems

  • Be trustworthy with highly sensitive information


Qualifications

Candidate will possess the minimum requirements below to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered an additional factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must have one of the following:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems or equivalent technical degree AND 6+ years of semiconductor experience AND 2+ years of experience either as a people manager or as formal leader of team(s) with five or more people responsible for technical deliverables.

Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems or equivalent technical degree AND 4+ years of semiconductor experience AND 2+ years of experience either as a people manager or as formal leader of team(s) with five or more people responsible for technical deliverables.

PhD in Engineering, Business, Information Systems or equivalent technical degree AND 2+ years of semiconductor experience AND 2+ years of experience either as a people manager or as formal leader of team(s) with five or more people responsible for technical deliverables.


Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, manufacturing engineer, process engineer, operations manager or group leader in a semiconductor fab

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
