We are looking for a LSS Engineer!

You will be responsible to:

  • Define roadmaps to meet requirements, goals and milestones for a new technology process.

  • Drive improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity and safety/ergonomic over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment and operating personnel.

  • Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.

  • Develop strategy to resolve difficult problems and establishes systems to deal with these problems in the future. Trains production/receiving process engineers for transfer to other factories.

  • Transfer process to high volume manufacturing and provide support in new factory start-up as well as install and qualification of the new production lines. 

  • A Life Safety engineer is specifically responsible for understanding the factory environment, fab protocol, and Life Safety Systems environment. This includes, but isnt limited to, fire system devices/programming/maintenance, HPM monitoring system components/programming/testing/maintenance, PLC operation, logic and programming.

  • Work effectively with the equipment supplier to identify shortcomings, propose and evaluate hardware modification to mitigate issues.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must possess one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or relevant degree, AND 5+ years of relevant direct experience with Life Safety.

  • Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering or relevant degree, AND 3+ years of relevant direct experience with Life Safety.

  • PhD degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering or relevant degree, AND 2+ years of relevant direct experience with Life Safety.


Preferred Qualifications

-EST3 Certification
-3+ years of experience in any of the following:

  • Fire systems

  • Life Safety System ownership: HPM - Siemens PCS 7 S-400, Fire System - EST, Toxic and Flammable Gas analyzers/sensors - Midas, Vertex, Early Smoke Detection systems - VESDA

  • Advanced fab equipment experience - ownership.

  • Advanced fab equipment experience - tool install.
