As a part of a factory manufacturing team, the Manufacturing Segment Leader (Manufacturing Engineer) controls the activities of a specific part of the production line and processes across all shifts.

As a Manufacturing Shift 1 Segment Leader your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Working with the aligned Compressed Work Week (CWW) segment leaders on each shift to ensure goals for output, velocity and the percentage of WIP in process for their segment are met.

  • Coordinating with other members of the factory manufacturing and management teams to ensure that their actions support the overall factory goals and recommends strategies to achieve those goals.

  • Coordinating with engineering staff on projects to improve capacity on tool sets within their segment.

  • Working with tools and systems which control the factory (e.g. CORE, Autoproc, MOQ restrict, T3S, etc.) and the intricacies of their segment (such as tool/operation capabilities and queue time loops management).

  • Routinely work with CWW segment leaders to develop manufacturing strategies and communicate to Shift Captains, Assistant Manufacturing Managers and Manufacturing Managers.

  • Planning and implementing operational improvements to maximize output across all modules within their segment.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must possess one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/electrical/chemical/mechanical engineering, materials science, chemistry, or physics preferred AND 7+ years of manufacturing/operations experience either as an operations manager/module engineer, Compressed Work Week (CWW) segment leader or as a process engineer.

  • Master's degree in manufacturing/electrical/chemical/mechanical engineering, materials science, chemistry, or physics preferred AND 5+ years of manufacturing/operations experience either as an operations manager/module engineer, Compressed Work Week (CWW) segment leader or as a process engineer.

  • PhD manufacturing/electrical/chemical/mechanical engineering, materials science, chemistry, or physics.


Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in/with:

  • Working with CORE, Autoproc, MOQ restrict and T3S.

  • Engineering analysis tool.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
