A Thin Films Module Engineer responsibilities might include but not limited to:

  • Designing, executing, and analyzing experiments necessary to meet engineering specifications for their process.

  • Participate in development of intellectual property.

  • Development of the equipment necessary to exploit the understanding gained in research (in collaboration with equipment suppliers).

  • Work effectively with the equipment supplier to identify shortcomings, propose and evaluate hardware modification to mitigate issues.

  • Operate manufacturing line in order to integrate the many individual steps necessary for the manufacture of complex microprocessors.

  • In-situ ramp to manufacturing volumes to demonstrate the technology meets requirements while simultaneously transferring the technology to counterparts in manufacturing.

  • Install and qualify manufacturing capacity at the development site and audit installation/qualification and supervise first full loop at the production site.

An ideal candidate should be willing to exhibit the below behavioral traits:

  • Demonstrated experience with rapid analysis of complex process problems and identification of a solution path.

  • Teamwork skills and partnership skills: Effectively communicate, written and verbal communication skills.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork, classes, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or a related field of study.

-Minimum of 4 years of post-PhD experience in one or more of the following:

  • Semiconductor materials and characterization.

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) or Design of Experiments (DOE) principles and engineering analysis tools.

  • Analytical Techniques.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in semiconductor process development.

  • Hands on experience with thin films deposition systems including chemical vapor deposition (CVD), atomic layer deposition (ALD), and physical vapor deposition (PVD).

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
