Job Description:

Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) is seeking a highly motivated individual who is interested in joining the Program Planning & Scheduling Department in a position as a Manager II Technical Planner. The candidate will work and partner with various functions, including the Program Management Office, Finance, Engineering and Contracts to ensure that the programs are performed according to our RMD parameters. The candidate will also manage a team of planners supporting those programs.

Responsibilities will include development, maintenance and analysis of the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project as well as the program Master Phasing Schedule (top level schedule); leading planning, scheduling, and cost estimating tasks; and supporting Risk and Opportunity development mitigation; and supporting Integrated Product Development Systems (IPDS) deployment and tailoring. This role will also support Earned Value reporting from the IMS, ensuring Earned Value Management (EVM) compliance of planning-related artifacts, IMS CDRL deliveries to the customer and internal IMS reporting to the PMO.

This position will be located in Marlborough, MA.

Required Skills:

8+ years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling and/or experience in Program or Earned Value Management.
Expertise with Microsoft Project and/or other Scheduling tools, such as Oracle Primavera.
Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc)
Experience leading and managing a team of planning/scheduling professionals.
Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar business processes for tracking and reporting cost and schedule performance.
Experience with government and/or DoD and FMS contracts and programs.
This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance.

Desired Skills:

10+ years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling.
Direct experience leading planning effort on a program with external EV reporting and DFARS EV clause invoked
Direct experience with DCMA and JSA audit
Demonstrated customer facing experience in leadership role
Experience performing Critical Path analysis and Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs)
Familiarity with any of the following: SAP database reporting (specifically the Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) tool), Material Resource Planning (MRP) tools used in factory production and operations settings.
Experience assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in planning, scheduling and cost estimating tasks.
Knowledge of Risk and Opportunity Management.
Six Sigma qualifications and/or training and experience.
PMP Certification.
Knowledge of Oracle Primavera project management tools.

Required Education (including Major):

BS/BA degree from an accredited university or college in Electrical/Mechanical/Systems or other engineering discipline or STEM related major.
