The Worldwide Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) team is looking for an experienced manager to lead a senior team of individual contributors and drive a portfolio of projects with direct impact on Apple's Supply Chain Planning teams, driving transformation through process, data and technology solutions. This leader will empower the team to strive for excellence across the project portfolio, while demonstrating the values of WW Operations BPR and representing the Supply Chain Planning team. New process and system functionality and/or process will be supported by this role from conception to design, implementation, and support.

We're looking for someone who has led senior teams, has a passion for developing talent, possesses deep process re-engineering experience, operates effectively with minimal direction, and someone who is comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment. Additionally, experience optimizing global supply chain, supply & demand planning, and associated technology is preferred.

Flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. This individual should also have strong communication, influencing, delegation, organizational, analytical, project management and leadership skills to handle a variety of activities and complexities spanning the organization. Someone who is willing to work at both a very detailed and strategic level can excel in this important role.

Key Qualifications

  • 5 - 10 years of managerial experience leading teams senior teams and responsibility for a diverse project / program portfolio.
  • 10+ years of supply chain leadership experience responsible for global supply chain improvement, preferably in high-tech / consumer electronics / retail industries.
  • Consistent track record of leading strategic programs, combined with the ability to execute at tactical project-level activities and tasks.
  • Broad exposure to supply chain management, including industry expertise in supply and demand planning processes.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at multiple levels of cross functional organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt one's style based on the level of the audience.
  • Strong functional understanding of Supply Chain Planning tools.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Execution tools and SAP ERP system is a plus.
  • Proficient knowledge of the systems implementation and development life cycles.
  • Good understanding of key master data which in a supply chain planning, including experience implementing optimization (OR) and/or decisioning (AI/MLO models.
  • Proficient at leading multiple efforts simultaneously in a global capability including working with international teams.
  • Excellent leadership skills that enhance the team's effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to lead teams; natural leader and motivator, leads through empowerment and influence.
  • Motivates team members to produces work product of the highest quality with minimal review by supervisor.

Description

The candidate will be responsible for identifying and leading a portfolio of business process re-engineering projects, including managerial responsibilities for a team of Sr. Program Managers. This role requires a deep understanding of core operations throughout the supply chain to manage complex, global initiatives supporting a wide range of initiatives.

Success requires an individual to think strategically, connecting the dots of the bigger picture, influencing successful outcomes, and managing a team of high performing individual contributors. Candidates must be self-motivated, comfortable working with minimal direction in a global, fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment. Successful leaders empower the teams they manage work effectively across functional business teams to drive improvements and deliver capabilities that will exceed our customers expectations. The candidate should have prior management experience, subject matter expertise in supply chain planning and execution processes, a maniacal attention to detail, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Lead a team of senior individual contributors as they execute on a project portfolio to support Supply and Demand Planning.

Develop team members to continue to evolve as we strive to meet the needs of our functional partners.

Act as an advocate for the Planning Portfolio Team, empowering members to deliver solution capabilities (requirements, user-testing, etc.) to support the broader Supply Chain planning strategies.

Act as a liaison between the functional teams and IS&T (Information Systems and Technology or Apple's IT organization), building and leaning on an expanded network to ensure the team's success.

Representing the Planning Portfolio Team with functional partners to define and manage strategy, roadmaps, and communications.

Manage change. Implement new ideas effectively within the Apple culture. Influence decisions and change management through collaboration, leadership and a customer- focused approach.

Provide functional subject matter expertise and through leadership to help inspire innovation.

Apply analytical skills to rationalize change.

Build and develop team members to ensure Program and Project execution excellence,

Addresses escalations, quickly assess and develop root cause analysis and problem solution for operations issues.

Define and implement critical metrics to measure Portfolio and Team Members success.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required, MS (in relevant fields like Industrial Engineering, Operations Research etc.) or MBA is desired.

Additional Requirements

  • 5 - 10 years of managerial experience leading teams senior teams and responsibility for a diverse project / program portfolio.
  • Minimum 10 years of supply chain leadership experience responsible for global supply chain improvement, preferably in high-tech / consumer electronics / retail industries.
  • Experience leading small/mid-size teams.
  • Experience leading several cross functional partner teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to influence with and without authority, working on and with technical, cross-functional and highly matrixed teams who do not report into this role to get things done.
