Manufacturing Operations Technologist (Experienced)

We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Technologist to join our team in Livermore. On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Assess manufacturing documents and solve production problems with processes or equipment already in operation.
+ Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with Sandia policy.
+ Work with a wide verity of Sandia engineering customers and suppliers to procure commercial products and produce manufactured hardware.
+ Oversee and understand several manufacturing projects at any given time.Required:

+ Requires high school diploma plus three or more years of directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Must be able to interoperate manufacturing drawings, CAD data, and have extensive knowledge about manufacturing processes.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance.
+ **_Selected applicants will be required to take a Job Placement Assessment before beginning the job to ensure that they can perform the essential physical requirements, with or without accommodations._**

Desired:

+ Hands on CAD experience
+ ANSI Y14.5 knowledge

Department Description:

This department is in place for the research and development of machined hardware components made on industry standard milling machines, lathes, wire EDM machines, plunge EDM machines, grinders, buffers, saws, routers, and bead blaster. Hardware is typically made from a variety of industry standard inert metals, polymers, and composites materials. In rare cases hazardous materials will be handled with the guidance from industrial hygiene and waste management with controls in place.

Security Clearance:
