Mask Operation Senior Process Engineer

Intel Mask Operations (IMO) in Santa Clara is the team in charge of creating what are considered the best masks in the industry. To create a mask, IMO engineers use computerized drawings from Intel chip designers that are the blueprints for our processors and their billions of transistors.
IMO Team is looking for a Senior Process Engineer responsible for leading scientific research enabling manufacture of innovative device architectures coupled with the realization of these architectures.
As IMO Engineer the responsibilities may include:
Designing, executing and analyzing experiments necessary to meet engineering specifications for their process.
Participate in development of intellectual property.
Development of the equipment necessary to exploit the understanding gained in research (in collaboration with equipment suppliers).
Work effectively with the equipment supplier to identify shortcomings, propose and evaluate hardware modification to mitigate issues.
Operate manufacturing line in order to integrate the many individual steps necessary for the manufacture of complex microprocessors.
Institute ramp to manufacturing volumes to demonstrate the technology meets requirements while simultaneously transferring the technology to counterparts in manufacturing via the Copy Exactly! Methodology.
Install and qualify manufacturing capacity at the development site and audit installation/qualification and supervise first full loop at the production site.

This is an entry-level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained
through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military
training, and/or work experience.
Minimum
qualifications:
Candidate must possess a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or Chemistry (or related fields of study)or expect the required degree by September 2022.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in one or more of the following (having more than one will be preferred)
-Semiconductor
materials and characterization. Expertise in analytical
techniques.
-Technical problem-solving methodologies
with multitasking capabilities.
-Statistical process
control methodologies and engineering analysis
tools.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
