RMD Finance has an exciting opportunity to join the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program as a Finance Manager, specifically focused on Earned Value management and reporting of this large, development program. The NGI Program is a newly awarded competitive win, with Raytheon and Northrop Grumman working in Partnership on a development effort for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Raytheon has been awarded +$1.3B for its workshare. NGI, which falls under the RMD Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Mission Area, is designed to defend the U.S. against evolving complex threats and replace the currently deployed Ground Based Interceptor. There is no capability of its kind deployed in the world and is critical to the future of homeland defense.

The NGI EV Finance Manager role will act in a deputy capacity to the NGI Business Manager, and will be required to perform analyses and prepare reports to ensure that contracts perform within contract agreed-upon parameters.

You should possess strong technical knowledge of finance and program controls, strong problem solving skills and have good communication skills. You should be comfortable working independently and in a team environment, and have the ability to multi task and work on several different program issues concurrently, in a fast-paced environment. You will work with and present to the program leadership team, lead engineers and other cross-functional organizations. You should be dedicated to continued process improvements and the building of efficiencies into all operational aspects of the organization.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Manage the programs EVMS and EV Financial Analysts work.
  2. Monitor the earned value cost and schedule.
  3. Fulfill successful program reporting requirements and support the development of quarterly EACs.
  4. Perform detailed financial analysis for both CBT and functional area, help to define and understand the monthly variances to Budget baseline and EAC positions, and support man-power forecasts.
  5. Maintain accurate records for Budget and EAC tracking to ensure adequate funding is available.
  6. Support the development of monthly SDRLs to the customer.
  7. Process approved Baseline Change Requests (BCRs) and ensure all changes are incorporated into control systems.
  8. Submit and update Inter-Organizational Transfers (IOTs); utilize & share knowledge of the RTN Earned Value Management system process 10255 policy within the program team.
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
  • 8+ years of relevant professional working experience
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of Tools
  • Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management) (or similar process), Program Controls (Cost/Schedule), and/or EAC Process
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
