Job Summary:
The Systems Integration & Test Engineerings Mission Capability Verification Center (MCVC) at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM is searching for a Systems Engineering Section Lead to join our team. MCVC is a recognized asset for WSMR Field Oeprations, Field Logistics, and Systems Integration & Test activities. This is a dual role positon and will require the candidate to participate in local test programs as a Principal Systems Engineer as well as providing direction and supervising a team of sensor support staff including Systems Engineers, Field Engineers, and Radar Operators/Maintainers. As the Section Lead, the candidate will be expected to actively participate in MCVC leadership team goals and initiatives; facilitate the alignment of sections goals, roles, and responsibilities; monitor team dynamics; collaborate with program and site leadership on staffing; foster effective communications between teams and team members; provide employee performance feedback and mentoring; and be actively involved in daily program operations.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Lead a diverse team in a test program environment
  • Establish meaningful and measureable goals and communicate effectively with team to ensure alignment with department and Center.
  • Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development and talent acquisition.
  • Participate in the development, review and implementation of processes/procedures to align with program, WSMR, and RMD maintaining AS9100 standards and VPP Star certification.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other sections and teams and provide day-to-day liaison to programs on job assignments, performance development, recognition, and mentoring.
  • Collaborate and participate with other MCVC leadership team members in initiatives. Serve as a strong advocate for process improvement and Lean Six Sigma operations.
  • Lead by example, adhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors
  • Work in remote/hazardous locations in proximity to energized equipment, radar radiation, and unexpoloded ordnance environments.
  • Travel globally to support program requirements as required.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Technology, Mathematics or other Engineering (STEM)
  • Eight (8) years experience with systems, hardware developments, integration, verification and validation processes, of which four (4) years must have been in a team lead or task lead role.
  • Experience with Patriot and/or TPY-2 operations and maintenance.
  • Experience with Earned Value Manangement, bid or new business pursuit processes, and development/deployment of engineering processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes, security (NISPOM) ISs and closed area requirements, risk and opportunity management, and scope management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • An active and in-scope secret US security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Ten (10) years experience in a leadership capacity with oversight of hardware maintenance and testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team.
  • Patriot/TPY-2 operations and maintenance expertise.
  • Strong independent thinker with in-depth, hands-on experience, implementing a broad spectrum of mechanisms in a classified environment.
  • Excellent customer relation skills, interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), leadership and influential skills, problem solving skills.
  • Can effectively manage projects and a diverse team.
  • Applicable Masters Degree.
