Microelectronic/Semiconductor Technologist (Experienced)

:



We are seeking a Microelectronic/Semiconductor Technologist that will work successfully in small teams to accomplish overall project goals, primarily performing test and characterization on devices \(optoelectronic or other semiconductor related\)\. Is expected to perform typical lab maintenance activities: send equipment for calibration/repair, documentation of activities within the lab, support safety compliance activities, and general organization of equipment and test devices\.



Required:



+ Associates degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering; or 4 years of equivalent experience\.

+ Experience in testing optoelectronic or electronic parts\.

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a required US DOE security clearance\.



Desired:



+ Familiar with NI LabVIEW programming or similar test software\.

+ Experience troubleshooting and characterizing electronics using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc\.

+ Electronics lab operations experience\.

+ Demonstrated team player\.

+ Willingness to learn, adapt to various projects, and continually upgrade skills\.

+ Knowledge and experience with electrical design, installation, testing, repair, and maintenance\.

+ Ability to prepare and present electrical test documents and test results\.

+ Active DOE Q Clearance\.



Department Description:



The RF & Opto Microsystems department performs research, design, modeling, characterization, and qualification of RF and Optical Microsystems\. We have a focus on RF and optoelectrical Microsystems, as well as specialty wireless sensors\. We have capabilities for developing prototypes to fully qualified hardware\. We provide unique solutions to our customers in nuclear weapons, DoD, non\-proliferation agencies, and subsystem departments \(SAR, surety, & ISR\)\. Our research interest include advanced RF sensors, RFICs, and communication devices unique to national security applications\.

Security Clearance:



Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.
