The networks Fabrics team is looking for a perceptive and analytical software engineer to improve High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications performance at scale, with a future focus on Cloud applications. You would work with and develop performance-oriented benchmarks suites for large scale analysis of standard and high-performance parallel software and drive enhancements into open-source networking software.  Analysis focuses on Intels latest CPUs and platforms, high-performance NICs, GPUs, and accelerators.  Previous performance analysis work with parallel HPC and AI applications is desirable.

This work will include:

Analysis of the existing code base along with recommendations to maintainers for future enhancements. Previous performance analysis work with high-speed networking and experience with HPC applications and using MPI. You will design, develop, debug, and test complex software tailored for validating, profiling, and tuning of scale-up and scale-out technologies in the data center.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school-work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in with 3 years of experience or Master's with 2 years of experience or Ph.D with 1 year of experience with:

• Developing code in C language

• Python and Linux scripts

• Developing code in a Linux OS environment

• Experience using open-source development and source control tools and processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the Linux RDMA subsystem programming interfaces for highspeed networks such as InfiniBand RoCE or OmniPath

• Knowledge of performance monitors

• Experience with GPU programming

• Experience of network programming and network protocols

• Experience with Continuous Integration CI Tools

$149,020.00-$223,560.00
