As part of the MSI (Manufacturing Systems and Infrastructure) team you will envision data analytic solutions to be utilized across the company and all products. With the scale of all the manufacturing data captured across the products' lifecycle: from the very beginning, to validate that units being built are fully tested and of high quality before leaving the factory, all of the way through to warranty support for customers

Key Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience in product management, as a technical analyst or related experience
  • Experience as a Product Analyst or Product Manager with a data platform, Machine Learning, data analytics, data visualization, business intelligence reporting, storage and clustering technologies
  • Deep understanding of data platform market, trends, competition and industry
  • Collaborative with superb communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical products and features into simple concepts and presentations
  • Experience with building large scale data management, monitoring and cloud platforms
  • Strong bias for action, creative thinking, innovation and data driven product decision-making
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau)
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure and agile software development
  • Passion for solving challenging technical problems and building enterprise products with intuitive user experience


We are seeking a Software Product Analyst/Manager responsible for the capabilities and roadmap of our manufacturing software ecosystem. This position represents an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled individual with experience in various types of software products. You will be assisting with design, testing, documentation, training and support of our manufacturing software applications

You will use your understanding of the data platforms, scalability and high availability to synthesize ideas that improve Product Operations' enterprise tools and your cross-team collaboration skills will enable those improvements to spread across this fast growing division. You will collaborate with Engineering, QA, UX design, business executives and Apple's technical product experts. You will merge attention to technical detail with ability to understand and align to the big picture business imperatives. Drive customer insights and inputs directly into the development process. while working hand-in-glove with complex execution teams

- Build, conceive and design solutions, new features, and applications for Manufacturing Operations
- Engage with customers, develop insights into what is possible, and uncover unarticulated customer needs and document software requirements
- Build product roadmap based on business needs, technical considerations for impact of new features, UI functionality and project timelines
- Requirements elicitation of business needs and data requirements of external and internal clients through: interviews, consultations, document analysis, surveys, business process descriptions, task and workflow analysis
- Evaluate the information gathered and distinguish between individual wants and actual business needs
- Define product specs, user stories, mockups and acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering or independently
- Quickly grasp and distill highly complex matters into clean, understandable solutions and serve as the mediator between technical and business teams
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc analysis on customer and transactional data to deliver actionable insights at tactical and strategical levels
- Work closely with architects and software developers to generate seamless business intelligence solutions for end users
- Document work effort required to develop, test and implement new technical processes
- Test software products to ensure that they meet customer and business requirements effectively and efficiently
- Ensure defects are correctly identified, fixed and incorporated into solutions
- Design and deliver training on new software products and enhancements as assigned
- Partner with UX to ensure designs are consistent with development standards and industry guidelines
- Work with minimal direction toward predetermined goals
- Be able to manage schedules, reviews and approval processes of documentation
- Able to work effectively within a global, fast changing environment, tight deadlines, priority changes and multiple constituencies

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g. EE, CS, Information Systems)
- MBA or similar degree highly preferred
