The successful candidate will be a key member of the Center for Economic Transformation, Business Transformation department. The candidate work with sponsor and department leadership to understand the sponsor vision and translate it into projects, recommendations and artifacts that lead to realization of mission outcomes. The successful candidate will organize and lead MITRE project teams to deliver new capabilities and actionable recommendations.

The candidate will develop and maintain relationships with Tech Center and Portfolio organizations across MITRE to bring the best corporate expertise to the work program. They will maintain relationships with senior sponsor personnel.

Using knowledge of and experience with one or more key technical disciplines (e.g., systems engineering, change management, data analytics), the candidate will work with MITRE and sponsor teams to articulate deliverable content and structure, create practical project plans, and lead teams through successful delivery. They will manage all aspects of project delivery, including scoping and work shaping, relationship management, team leadership, deliverable execution and financial management.


KEY FUNCTIONS

The SME will have the following responsibilities:

* Work with a multi-organization team to plan, design, execute and deliver business transformation projects in the federal financial economic space
* Able to take on and successfully complete diverse and technically challenging tasks
* Lead customer engagement to include definition of technical needs and internal research definition

 

 

*Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to successfully complete an IRS Minimum Background Investigation. Those that hold an active U.S. Government Security Clearance are encouraged to apply.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* BS in Science, Engineering or related disciplines and 8 years related experience
* Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation
* Self-starter, able to collaborate with government employees and contractors; work in multi-disciplinary teams; plan and execute projects; and build trusted relationships
* Experience on public policy, economic or business transformation projects
* Leadership and interpersonal capabilities to establish and foster relationships within and across Portfolio, Program, Technical Centers, and Sponsors.
* Demonstrated ability to impact technical projects and lead them to successful transition.
* Demonstrated ability to provide career guidance and coaching to team members.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Passion for excellence and demonstrated ability to lead and contribute to the development of high-quality deliverable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Expected to lead customer engagement and must possess excellent communications and written skills
* Work with other technical centers and program departments to bring integrated solutions to sponsor problems.
* Experience working with high-level sponsor executives is strongly preferred.
* Prior experience as a PL and SME is preferred.
* Advanced degree is preferred.
* Experience managing multiple projects or Programs concurrently is preferred.
