Job CodeJR0219701
This is an exciting time to be at Intel! Come join Intels NAND Design Technology and Manufacturing (NAND-DTM) Group and work on one of the most advanced 3DNAND and SSD technology portfolios in the world. As a global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses many industry leading SSD technologies including the most capable Quadruple Level Cell QLC NAND Flash products.
Intel's NAND Design, Technology and Manufacturing Group, NAND-DTM, is looking to hire outstanding device engineers to be part of the team that develops industry-leading NAND Flash memory technology. We have exciting opportunities for qualified candidates looking to join the team working on NAND Flash media architecture and integration.
In this job, you
will have the opportunity to work on leading edge terabit-scale
non-volatile memory chips and push the boundaries of 3D NAND Flash
technology by solving problems in a broad area that ranges from
fundamental device physics to NAND component-system interactions.
You will be part of a team responsible for defining NAND media
architecture, SSD policies for NAND media management, and inventing
as well as reducing to practice new NAND features to improve
density, performance, and quality/reliability. In addition, you
will work in cross-functional teams to resolve NAND technology
scaling challenges using semiconductor device, circuit, and
algorithm approaches to deliver world-class NAND components
generation after generation. You will work closely with the product
and system teams to ensure seamless integration of the memory
components into systems.
Primary
responsibilities will include hands-on characterization, data
analysis and modeling of the observed NAND memory device/array
characteristics, and solving problems involved in engineering the
NAND memory components to achieve the highest level of performance,
quality, and
reliability.
The position
is associated with the sale of the NAND business to SK Hynix
aligning to Phase 2 of the transaction. Employees aligned to Phase
2 will continue to be employed by Intel developing NAND technology
and components. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in
March 2025 at which time employees aligned to this phase of the
transaction will transition employment to Solidigm, a stand-alone
US subsidiary of SK Hynix headquartered in San Jose, California
with offices world-wide. Solidigm is a leading global supplier of
NAND flash memory solutions, led by Robert (Rob) B. Crooke as CEO,
previously senior vice president and general manager of Intels
Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group. To read more, see: https://www.intc.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/1513/intel-sells-ssd-business-and-dalian-facility-to-sk-hynix
