The NAND Product Validation Team is seeking a Senior NAND System Validation Engineer with deep experience in Silicon, Firmware, and Product Validation (execution and debug). In this position you will provide technical leadership in enabling a fast-paced, path-finding team developing new NAND system validation platform to meet evolving NAND/SSD validation challenges. This position is responsible for analyzing NAND data sheet specifications, defining system validation requirements, ensuring validation flows meet functional and performance requirements per milestone, and other quality criteria. NAND SDV Tech lead responsibilities include, but are not be limited to: Develop, execute and debug test flows and validation scenarios. Identify and close SSD sightings including bug fixes. Lead the debug of SDV hardware. Interface with Architecture, Design, Validation Engineers, SSD, and Firmware teams to enable platform validation and closure of issues. Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks and develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment. Additional responsibilities may include enabling/validation on customer platforms. The position is associated with the sale of the NAND business to SK Hynix aligning to Phase 2 of the transaction. Employees aligned to Phase 2 will continue to be employed by Intel developing NAND technology and components. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in March 2025 at which time employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition employment to Solidigm, a stand-alone US subsidiary of SK Hynix headquartered in San Jose, California with offices world-wide. Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Requirements
The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
6+
years of experience in the following areas:
- Hardware and Software product development.
-
Product Validation experience.
- Computer storage and
memory hierarchy.
- Technical product development and
customer enablement.
- 3+
years of experience in the following:
- Solid State
Drives (SSDs)
- Software or firmware development
experience in an embedded systems environment with programming in
C/C++
- Firmware development
environments including compilers, debuggers, emulators, and
tool-chains
- Development of unit tests for code
coverage and quality validation
Preferred
Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience in the minimum requirements.

-Enterprise storage interface protocols (e.g., SATA, SAS,
PCIe, and NVMe)
