As a Software Engineer your daily schedule will be full of amazing!
In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design, develop, implement end to end applications, exercising the full software stack, and executing those applications on multiple Virtual and Reference Silicon platforms. These applications span 5G traditional and virtual RAN domain.
- Automate these applications- This includes the compilation, traffic processing and traffic verification to ensure the success of these functional suites.
- Drive software quality from concept to delivery via specific KPIs and quality targets.
- Work with product development teams throughout development phases to ensure software quality requirements and goals are established and met to determine release readiness and risks.
- Analyze product quality data and drives improvements through defect prediction models, requirements traceability, and SWLC optimizations. Improve customer experience with critical issue management, throughput time, root cause analysis, and software practices assessments.
- Work directly with customers to understand requirements upfront, pain points during development and delivery, and drive execution improvements through Intel's development life cycle.
- Create tools and
automation to support quality evaluation and data analytics (e.g.
SWLC, Defects, uQRC vectors), perform out-of-box testing for
software products to recreate customer experiences and pain points,
and assess the state of the art to employ new methods to improve
quality and product release
efficiency.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience.
- Experience with Networking concepts and protocols using Multicore CPUs (such as oRAN/vRAN/5G Domain, IP services, Access Control, QoS TCP/IP)
- Experience programming and scripting in C, C++, PERL, TCL, Expect, or other scripting language.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related engineering fields.
- 5+ years of experience with traffic tools like IXIA, Spirent, XENA.
- 5+ years of experience with wireless domain.
- 3+ years of experience hardware and software debugging.
- 3+ years of experience with Operating System level experience including UBoot kernel, bring-up; etc.

Work Model for this Role
