Come and join us. The Semi-Custom SoC Architecture Organization is
looking for SoC Architect(s) to join our team. This team works hand
in hand with our design, validation, customers, and vendors to
deliver best-in-class Architectures for the next generation of SoCs
targeted for cutting edge technologies such as AI, FHE, Memory
Pooling, Autonomous driving, Server class Accelerators
etc.
Networks on Chips (NoC) are becoming
critical backbones of SoCs. We are looking for NoC Fabric
Architects who can architect and design the
best in class robust NoCs for the next generation of SOCs. As a
Fabric Architecture Engineer, you will help define, specify and
develop NoC/ fabric for a given SoC.
Your
responsibilities will include, but are not limited
to:
- Collect requirements for the project's NOC Fabric's functional, sideband, debug, and global flows for the key hosts and interfaces of the SOC.
- Develop NOC architecture and topology for the program working with SOC architect, design and layout leads.
- Develop Specifications for the NOC.
- Build /deliver NOC RTL to meet HAS requirements and work with SOC integration team.
- Optimize NOC for PPA for the SOC
- Support validation, debug, layout through the project.
- Identify opportunities to innovate on future NOC solutions.
- Perform performance/watt modeling, estimate gate count, power using SystemC, Simics, NOC studio, Platform Architect, other tools.
- Become domain expert of NOC, consult multiple projects, train other engineers.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates
Minimum skills and experience:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 7+
years of industry experience. Or a master's degree in
the same fields with 5+ years of industry experience. Or a
Ph.D. in the same filed with 3+ years of industry
experience.
You must have the following skills:
- Computer architecture, simulation-based performance modeling, and performance analysis
- Experience in any of Fabrics, AXI, IDI, UPI, CXL, IOSF, or PCIe
- Experience in any of Power Management, RAS, Debug/DFT, Vtd, or Security
- Experience with Industry-standard ISAs - ARM, RISC-V, x86, etc.,
Preferred skills and experience:
- Experience in SystemC/ Performance and Power simulations is a big plus
- Nice to have experience in Netspeed / Cadence/Synopsys/ Arteris NOC, Coherent and Non-coherent fabrics

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
