Components Research (CR) delivers innovative device technologies and architectures to enable Intel's roadmap. CR develops design rules & PDKs to support product designers, enabling Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) and an excellent customer experience for Intel's product designers.

About the role:

Components Research's memory team is looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated Circuit Design Engineer to lead the design effort for novel memory devices and architectures.

You will be responsible for:

  • Design, tape-out and verification of memory sub-arrays including compact bitcells and control circuits such as voltage generators, drivers and sense-amplifiers
  • Design technology co-optimization of different memory devices, design and operation options
  • Memory circuit innovations to overcome challenges of novel memory devices
  • Partnering with process integration and device physics experts to deliver feasible memory options to market faster

Minimum Requirements

  • Possess a PhD. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields of study
  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on memory circuit design
  • Led design and tape-out of a testchip

Preferred Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
  • Novel device and circuit design
  • CMOS process technology knowledge
  • Design technology co-optimization
  • Power-performance-area analysis
  • Analog circuit design
  • Design under process variations
  • Development and use of Spice models for novel elements
  • Publication in journals or conferences
