The Nuclear Operations Directorate (NOD) has an opening for a Training Coordinator to support organizations within the Directorate. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and maintaining a high level of training compliance within the NOD. The NOD Training Coordinator will partner with the NOD Training Specialist to deliver a high-quality NOD Training Program.

This position will be filled at either the A07.1 or A07.2 level depending on your qualifications.Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if you are selected at the higher level.

Essential Duties
- Maintain a NOD training database via the institutional training platform (i.e. LTRAIN) and ensure that employees are reminded and held accountable for completion of training.
- Partner with NOD organizations to ensure that managers and employees are meeting Directorate training expectations and goals.
- Research, track and analyze training compliance within the NOD including compiling and preparing reports for NOD management.
- Facilitate/coordinate the availability of training resources and delivery of training as required.
- Participate in developing solutions for problems or issues pertaining to NOD training.
- Respond to questions and resolve day-to-day training problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
In Addition, at the A07.2 Level
- In conjunction with the NOD Training Specialist, conduct needs assessment through job/task analyses, interviews, surveys or other means to determine client needs.
- In conjunction with the NOD Training Specialist, design, develop, write and produce training curricula using a variety of instructional methods and media, including print, video, instructor-led courses and multi-media/e-learning.
- Participate in ad hoc training needs assessments related to long-term, moderate sized projects and develop and implement solutions.

- Experience in tracking and analyzing data across a large organization.
- Effective customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills necessary to respond to customer needs, requests, and issues, and to maintain effective working relationships.
- Experience effectively applying good judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills to identify solutions and resolve issues.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a technical support environment, collaborating with others, and recommending process improvements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with others.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of personal computers and automated business tools and technologies, including experience with business planning and tracking tools and strong database skills.
- Experience employing accurate keyboarding, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
In Addition, at the A07.2 Level
- Extensive knowledge of training program requirements.
- Experience managing electronic training databases and generating related process improvements.
- Advanced organizational skills, customer support, task prioritization, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through.
- Experience participating in reviews and assessments to ensure alignment between the technical training program and organizational strategies and needs.

Desired Qualification
- Associate Degree in Business or Technology area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of LLNLs ES&H manual document sections 40.1 and 50.1.
- Familiarity with DOE Nuclear Facility, ES&H, and RCRA requirements

Pre-Employment Drug Test: External applicant(s) selected for this position will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test. This includes testing for use of marijuana as Federal Law applies to us as a Federal Contractor.

Security Clearance: This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.

If you are selected, wewill initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if youmeet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. In addition, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold multiple citizenships (U.S. and another country), you may be required to renounce your non-U.S. citizenship before a DOE L or Q clearance will be processed/granted.

Note: This is a Career Indefinite position. Lab employees and external candidates may be considered for this position.
